From day one with Ciklum since June of 2007 Zensys takes pride in using "best practices" in IT offshoring. As the company's product is complex, the knowledge transfer on startup took place in a form of personal visits and active remote communications. The company introduced the nearshore team to Zensys' strategy, business model, goals, as well as given a detailed insight into the whole range of company's products and solutions. This gave the new team a solid background on the product's use making the transition to sample applications and tools development responsibility successful.
The objective of the frequent visits was to transfer knowledge and conduct team-building activities in order to create a spirit of belonginess to Zensys. These periodical face-to-face communications with the Ukrainian team were a good foundation for a smooth integration of the team into Zensys as a company as well as building good interpersonal relationships.
Following the recommended best practices from Ciklum has resulted in nearshore operations reaching the productivity level comparable to an onshore team in less than two years and making the Ukrainian team an invaluable and integral part of Zensys' development department.
